Job Summary

The Vice President of Media (B2B) will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of media planning, buying, and activation for the agency’s B2B clients. This role demands a seasoned leader with expertise in B2B marketing, digital and traditional media, and account-based strategies. You will oversee client campaigns, contribute to business development, and lead high-profile pitches. This position is integral to shaping the agency’s B2B media offering and driving growth through innovative, data-driven campaigns and trusted client relationships.


Key Responsibilities


Client Leadership

  • Oversee the strategy and execution of media campaigns for high-profile B2B clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives and marketing goals.
  • Serve as the senior media advisor for clients, building trust and providing actionable, data-driven solutions to complex challenges.
  • Partner with account teams to identify growth opportunities within existing client portfolios, proactively proposing innovative media strategies.
  • Ensure exceptional delivery on all campaigns, from awareness to lead generation, supporting client success throughout the entire sales funnel.


Pitch & Business Development

  • Lead the media strategy for new business pitches, demonstrating deep knowledge of B2B media and its role in achieving business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business development and account teams to craft compelling pitch narratives that highlight the agency’s media expertise.
  • Present pitch strategies and media solutions to prospective clients, positioning the agency as a leader in B2B marketing.
  • Stay attuned to market trends and client needs, shaping the agency’s media capabilities to meet future opportunities.


Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement comprehensive media strategies tailored to B2B audiences and buying cycles, integrating ABM, programmatic, social, search, and traditional channels.
  • Oversee the integration of advanced targeting methods, including behavioral, contextual, and account-based approaches, to reach niche B2B audiences.
  • Drive alignment between media strategies and broader marketing initiatives, ensuring campaigns support client growth and lead-generation goals.


Team & Talent Development

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of media directors, planners, and specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Build team expertise in B2B media, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry trends.
  • Support resource planning to manage team workloads and scale effectively as the agency grows.


Operational Excellence

  • Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with agreed KPIs, consistently exceeding client expectations.
  • Develop and implement best practices for media planning, activation, and reporting tailored to the B2B landscape.
  • Collaborate across departments, including creative, analytics, and strategy, to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns.


Thought Leadership

  • Represent the agency as a media expert during client meetings, industry events, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Share insights and expertise with clients, internal teams, and the wider market, highlighting the agency’s unique approach to B2B media.
  • Stay updated on B2B trends, media innovations, and buyer behaviors to inform client strategies and agency offerings.


Qualifications


Experience

  • 12-15+ years of experience in media strategy and execution, with a strong focus on B2B clients and campaigns.
  • Proven leadership in managing client relationships and leading pitches for high-value accounts.
  • Expertise in ABM platforms (e.g., Demandbase, 6sense, Terminus) and integrating them into multi-channel B2B strategies.


Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of programmatic, social (e.g., LinkedIn, Meta), search, and traditional media channels for B2B marketing.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with experience leading client pitches and delivering strategies to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
